This digital illustration is of an original character named Lottie. With this character, my goal was to break the stereotype of “collectors” in media. Collectors are often portrayed as gross, obsessive people, who often collect figures, dolls, or just fan-merch in general. Lottie is a doll collector, and her design is inspired to look like a doll herself. I took inspiration from popular fashion dolls and aesthetics. Lottie loves to collect, but she also takes care of herself and cares about her own personal forms of self-expression through her clothing.
